CHAPTER 4: UNIONS (ALSO- CHAPTER 14: PRESS AGENTS / CHAPTER 18: MANAGERS)
Membership in ATPAM (Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers) currently stands at 579 active members nationwide + 107 retired members for a total of 686 members. This total breaks down as follows: 517 are managers and 169 are press agents.
CHAPTER 15: ACTORS
James T. Lane starring in Broadway’s “Chicago” - Folks, I visited my first “White Room” on Broadway. (The White Room is when you forget your lines on stage). It’s lonely there! No one can help. Many try to give you a hand. But there’s no escape until you find your way out!! I broke the fourth wall and said to the audience “wooooooo. Thank You! And I bowed. And the audience laughed and applauded. And then graciously a loving and caring God let me find the door and ultimately the way out. Live theatre ! Please understand that it’s scary when it’s happening but it’s funny as shit afterwards!!
CHAPTER 15: ACTORS
On Dec. 1, 2022, Actors’ Equity Association and The Broadway League announced that the two entities have come to a tentative agreement on the new production contract which governs Broadway and sit-down productions across the country.
