ABOUT NEIL BARDHAN
Neil Bardhan is the executive director of BSR. He lives in Philadelphia. He comes to BSR through a longstanding connection to the performing arts. While a student at Johns Hopkins University, he was active in the Barnstormers theater group as a technical director, as well as part of Witness Theater. He later earned a Ph.D. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester and went on to research psycholinguistics in the Netherlands and to teach in Germany. He then created a technical communication consulting firm: he offers one-on-one coaching services and has worked as part of the improv-science team to transform scientists' communication and collaboration practices.
Throughout Philadelphia, Neil enjoys building community, both in person and using social media, and producing events. He regularly performed in the variety show Hey We’re Cool. He is part of the short-form improv group The N Crowd and appears in comedy shows at Philly Improv Theater. Neil has also been involved at First Person Arts, including numerous storytelling projects over the years, the annual First Person Arts Festival, and the Commonspace series on WHYY. Billy Penn included Neil on their 2016 "Who’s Next Communications" list. Follow his personal presence on Twitter @NeilPBardhan.
